About Me
Throughout my career, good documentation has helped me quickly grasp the full picture of a project, and pulled me back when I lost my way. This website does the same thing — helping travelers facing an unfamiliar country figure out: what to prepare before coming to China, and how to navigate once you're here. Documentation helps me locate 'what's in a project'; maps help travelers locate 'what's in China' — they are fundamentally the same thing.
Every article here has gone through information gathering, filtering, and organizing. I know it's not perfect, because I can't cover everything on my own. If you find information that's inaccurate or outdated, or if there's something you want to know that hasn't been covered yet, you can submit it directly to me. I'll verify and update.
Working alone inevitably has its limitations, but continuous improvement is the very meaning of doing this. If you find this website useful, your voluntary support can help it continue to exist.
About This Site
This website is a China travel information hub for foreign visitors, built around two things: map exploration and practical guides.
Map exploration currently covers all 34 provincial-level administrative regions of China (including provinces, municipalities, and special administrative regions). Each article revolves around the region's cultural background, attractions, food, and travel tips. Click on a region on the map, and you can quickly get an overview of a place, then decide whether it's worth adding to your itinerary. Content for 293 prefecture-level cities nationwide is being gradually added and will go live as it becomes available.
Practical guides solve specific problems — visas, payments, transportation, communication, safety, itinerary planning, and more. These are things you need to figure out before you go, but the material is often scattered across different sources and hard to get a complete picture at once. Each guide here aims to thoroughly explain one topic, so that after reading it you know exactly what to do.
